I have been a serious student of ceramics for more than 30 years. I have studied courses in college settings and practiced in community arts studios while raising my family and developing my very successful professional career in healthcare and philanthropy. I retired in July 2016 and turned my focus on ceramics as a full-time endeavor in my studio, Tulip Tree Ceramics located in studio 261 at the Screw Factory. My work reflects an exploration of color, texture and shape using form and clay as a canvas for my ideas. My handbuilt work is both sculptural and functional and is at its best when it is used and enjoyed by those who appreciate handcrafted wares.
